1. Commercial entries: $30.00 entry fee, payable to
North Shore Canada Day Parade, to accompany your entry form. What a bargain!

Non-profit groups: no charge
3.
Only one commercial name to be visible
per entry.
4.
All entrant co-coordinators must
check in at registration before 8:30 a.m.
5. Non-decorated automobiles will not be permitted, other than antiques
and those used for invited distinguished guest, or at the discretion of the parade committee.
6. All
entries must be decorated – all entry participants must be in costume/uniform or in a theme, with the exception of dignitaries.
(Appreciation Awards will be presented to those entries best expressing the spirit of the parade and entertainment value through
enthusiasm, imagination, effort, entertainment & overall appeal.)
7.
Entries must be assembled by 9:00
to be included in judging.
8.
All vehicles must be in good mechanical
order. Drivers must remain with their float/vehicle prior to the commencement
of the parade. Please note the parade may travel along a slight grade and move
slowly, this can be very hard on manual cars and their drivers.
9.
For safety reasons, all exhaust pipes
near decorations or people must be insulated.
10.
Any entrants consisting of children
under 10 need to be on a float/vehicle or followed by a pick up vehicle.
11.
No material may be handed out or thrown to the crowd from any parade entry along the parade route. Those
wishing to distribute materials should do so by walking adjacent to the entry, along the crowd edge, taking care to distribute
items directly to the people, and not encouraging the crowd to go onto the road at any time. Failure to adhere to this rule
could result in expulsion from the current parade and will result in forfeiture to participate in any future parade –
no exceptions!
12.
Entries advocating, opposing or depicting political,
religious or social issues that, in the opinion of the Parade Marshal, do not meet the objectives of the parade will not be
allowed.
13.
The parade committee determines location of all
entries in the parade and the entry must maintain that position throughout the parade unless otherwise directed by a Parade
Official or Parade Marshal.
14.
All motorized and float entries must provide evidence
of insurance for bodily injury and property damage liability with combined single limits of $2,000,000.00 Please forward a
copy of your insurance with your application.
Your completed signed and/or electronically submitted application form is your acceptance, on behalf of your entry
and all your entry’s participants, of all of these rules and regulations.
